We say a journey, (NOT a travel). Travel is uncountable.
We had a long journey through the mountains.
(Don’t say: We had a long travel through the mountains).

We had a long journey by coach from the north to the south of the country.
(Don’t say: We had a long travel by coach from the north to the south of the
country).

I wish you a good journey!
(Don’t say: I wish you a good travel!).
